hi there! my name is alyssa, but my artist name is xita. I chose this name for myself after being called alyssíta (which means “little alyssa” in spanish) by my grandmother while I was growing up :) I kinda just separated the aly | ssita & consolidated the two s’s to form an X and VOÍLA! XITA WAS BORN. my success is dedicated to that little girl i once was (and always will be).

i’m a 23 year old dominican & puerto rican american living in south florida. currently, i produce all of my art work out of my home. i love experimenting with different forms of media but i always find my way back to crochet, digital and traditional illustration, crochet, tattoo, and of-course flowers as my main outlets of creating! i find inspiration for my work from my childhood interests and nature.
